Our winter Governing Board Meeting saw 23 physicians spend an intense 2 days working through 179 PPT slides. The concentrated effort to evolve and expand our scientific projects was palpable! Thanks to everyone who was there👏
However… sometimes the most fruitful discussions happen outside of the PPT- during the coffee breaks!

Our Governing Board meeting is taking place this week - the perfect opportunity to thank Professor Peter Siersema for his 12 years of service to the Endoscopy Journal as Editor-in-Chief. We have presented him with the title of ESGE Honorary Member in recognition of his outstanding contributions to our society. The just published December issue will be his last. From January 2026 we are thrilled to have Professor Jacques Bergman stepping into this pivotal role and are convinced under his guidance the journal will go from strength to strength.

Yesterday, together with E S G E N A. , we welcomed our industry colleagues to our Corporate Partners Meeting.
We discussed key updates on ESGE publications, the 'Days', and our increasing number of educational activities. There was a particular focus on ESGE research and the importance of industry innovation to advance high-quality, independent studies along with the development of international registries.
Valuable ideas on sustainability were also exchanged, and Esgena - Gastroenterology and Endoscopy's presentation was particularly impactful.
