🚀 Regenerative Endoscopy: a new Frontier!

Refractory or chronic GI defects are always a challenge.
The abundant fibrosis of their edges makes most of the endoscopic treatments (suturing, clipping, stenting, etc..) ineffective.

Encouraging results come from an Italian pilot study (30 pts), published in Endoscopy on endoscopic delivery of stromal vascular fraction obtained by mechanical emulsification of autologous adipose tissue (tSVFem) 👇
👇 www.thieme-connect.com/products/ejournals/abstract/10.1055/a-2665-1777

📊Based on the anti-inflammatory and regenerative tissue-promoting effects of tSVFem:
· 10/15 esophageal defects resolved after 1 session; 4/15 resolved after 2 sessions
🚨 Overall healing rate for esophageal defects 93.3%
· 6/15 rectal defects resolved after 1 session, 7/15 after 2 session, 9/15 after 3-4 sessions
🚨 Overall healing rate for rectal defects 60%
No adverse events!
💡 These findings suggest that tSVFem is an effective, mini-invasive and safe option for complex esophageal and rectal defects.
