❗ Here's lead author Miguel Areia; "This publication proposes 15 performance measures for upper gastrointestinal (UGI) endoscopy, including new measures and updated measures according to the latest evidence. We owe our patients the assurance that UGI endoscopy is performed at the highest quality - the proposed performance measures are intended for use by all endoscopists and can be easily added to endoscopy reports for audit and proportion calculation."
