The Gastroenterology and Endotherapy European Workshop (GEEW) is intended for practicing gastroenterologists with varying levels of training and experience, for internists and oncologists, for surgeons interested in transoral endosurgery or NOTES, for fellows in training as well as for GI nurses, medical students, biomedical engineers and industry partners. The Course includes live video demonstrations permitting maximal interaction between Faculty and attendees during procedures using an interactive « App » for questions and evaluation, evidence based didactic comments summarizing the most recent publications, questions-answers sessions and « tips and tricks » lectures.

 

EVOLVING TO A NEW FORMAT: LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS BUT ALSO “HOW I DO IT” SESSIONS

 

Thanks to the feedback of former participants, we re-designed the meeting format to fit your aspirations and training needs.

 

GEEW will start on Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2019 at 15.00 with “How I do it” sessions; the topics are:

  • EUS – Fine Needle Aspiration/Fine Needle Biopsy
  • Management of variceal bleeding – Medical, endoscopy, others
  • ERCP/Cannulation

 

Live demonstrations will be transmitted to Brussels Exhibition Center from 4 of our Endoscopy Suites at Erasme Hospital on Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

HANDS-ON TRAINING SESSIONS ON SUNDAY, JUNE 16, 2019

 

4 hands-on training stations will be available: 2 dedicated to ERCP, 1 to EUS-FNA and 1 to EUS cyst drainage.

 

For a small additional fee of 50 Euros, we propose you to participate in these tutored hands-on training sessions on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Brussels Exhibition Centre.

2 sessions on each station are organized:

  • Session 1: from 14:00 to 15:30
  • Session 2: from 16:00 to 17:30

 

Each station can accommodate up to 8 participants. So registrations are handled on a first come first served basis!
